Mavcoat^® Steel Shield, an extreme corrosion prevention coating that waterproofs untreated metal, was created by Mark Danzo, chemist and company founder. His love for Ultra 4 Racing and rock crawling introduced him to the world of metal fabrication. Now needing to prevent the bare steel chassis from rusting, he looked for something that would both prevent corrosion and also be able to weld through without removal. After searching the market, and only finding products that left a greasy, oily mess that could easily be wiped or washed off and none that were able to be welded through, Mark created Mavcoat^® Steel Shield, which offers superior corrosion prevention because it is a non-oily coating with no greasy feel that won’t be removed during the extreme abuse that off-road environments dish out.
